There are many pathways to find recovery. No one size fits all. One common denominator that a lot of people attribute their success to staying abstinent is giving back. Volunteering takes many forms in recovery. It can mean taking that phone call from someone struggling, giving someone a ride, pouring coffee or helping with sober events. You don’t have to start out at the top of the list, find something small to do in early recovery and as time passes find something a little bigger as you grow. Change is inevitable, but progress isn’t.
Partners 4 Recovery is always looking to volunteer at different functions: Soup kitchens, food banks, recovery walks, political movements for recovery purposes and helping peers with recovery issues. We help out others and we encourage them to help out us as well. Helping Partners 4 Recovery can be as simple as attending one of our presentations. Engaging in stimulating ideas about how our SUD’s have affected ourselves and our families is what makes us tick. If you want to be involved with us putting on events we would love to have you. We love building new relationships! You don’t have to be on the same path as us or look anything like us. Come as you are.
If you need documentation that you volunteered with us we will gladly attest to that by signing your form that you were present and and helped. We are a 501(c)3 non profit and we love helping out our peers with documentation for your service to us. Please contact us at our contact info on this site.
